What can be said about this amazing book! If your a diehard Sons of Anarchy fan like myself then you need this!! It has pretty much anything and everything you ever wanted to know about the show. Character insights from cast and crew, locations from the show and even an episode guide for each season! Now that the show has ended, if your like me and are suffering from SOA withdrawal then you owe it to yourself to add this to your bookshelf. A special thank you to Mr Sutter for putting this out for the fans!! In the words of Opie " I got this." And you should too.
Amazing companion to the series! Any true fan of the show will love and very much enjoy this book. I'm not quite half-way through but all of what I've read is interesting and engaging. Not the same old things you read in interviews and online, excellent excecution and intriguing back stories.I'm also impressed with the quality of the book. Very nice hard cover with embossed logo. The pages are very thick and sturdy. Great printing, colors, high quality photos and stills from the show. Very well put together.Also at less than half price I was thrilled to gift this to myself :)***UPDATE***It gives a short rundown with the enemies of SAMCRO, Zobelle is nowhere in the book. I found that quite odd. Weston and Polly are both mentioned but no Zobelle anywhere at all.
Sons of Anarchy has been one of my all-time favorite shows since it began airing. This year I decided I wanted to re-watch the series so that I could absorb more of the often complicated plot line and I wanted a companion book to go along with the viewing experience. While I wish this book was more comprehensive, meaning I wish that it had episode summaries and other analysis, this is a beautiful companion that every SOA fan should have. It takes you behind the scenes of the show, and let's you into the minds of the show's creator, Kurt Sutter, as well as many of the cast members. It provides great insight, a lot of background details, and there are high-quality photos to accompany the text. Definitely worth it.
I wouldn't miss having this, as a fan of everything SOA. I rode my Harley out to California from Minnesota for the Season 7 premiere, to watch the red carpet from across the street. To go peek at the Teller-Morrow set. To watch Katey's star ceremony and concert with The Forest Rangers at the El Rey Theater. I wish I could have had this book then but of course, that would have spoiled the drama of the season unfolding.I did have the SOA Insider magazine which has some of the same information through Season 6. This has much more detail and includes Season 7. I've ended up collecting some cast autographs in each but I'd like to get them all in this book.Anyway, I love this as it stirs many priceless memories. There's some intangible joy in this show and cast which gives me a comfort no other has.Details - it is a hard cover with many lovely photos. It contains everything in the magazine official series guide (96 pages) plus more, it is over 200 pages. It has additional sections including more from Kurt Sutter, characters sections including Clay, Tara, Opie, Piney and Unser. It adds much more to the behind the scenes information on how the show was produced, with sections on tattoos, makeup, costumes, and music. And of course, it adds a detailed section on season 7.
I'm obsessed with Sons of Anarchy. Enough so that I wanted to learn more about how the series came to be, what its influences were, and what the back stories were for each character. This guide is a very hefty book that is packed with all of these details and more, including insight from the costumer, actors, people on set and of course Kurt Sutter himself (Big Otto). It gives you a glimpse into how Charming came to be, the nexus for SAMCRO, and the aftermath at the series end. I think this is an outstanding companion book to the series. I've read it over and over and each time I do I discover something new.
I could sit here and write a couple paragraphs about how great this book is and how much interesting content it covers on the tv series and all the little insights it lets you in on as well as good pics and quotes. But really all you need to know is, if you are any kind of fan of this show the actors or motorcycles, in particular Harleys. This book is truly a must have. The more time you waste reading these reviews, less time you have owning this book. This thing is seriously rad. Good investment of my money.
Well needless to say I received this book a second time. Because I am a big fan of Sons of Anarchy. My husband and I just started watching one episode one night and we were hooked. I thought in the beginning there was a little bit too much nudity but you get passed that since the series was so good. And the book and the Series we did buy we just have the last one to get. We can't wait to watch again. The second time ordering it was because we got a puppy and he chewed it to pieces. It is very well made. But he is a puppy lab and his teeth are strong. So Yes this book I would highly recommend along with the series to buy.
I've wanted this book since before it was released. The $30 price is definitely worth it but I found it for way cheaper; used from an Amazon seller. It is in perfect condition with no binding lines at all. The book is great and informative for even fans who have seen every episode and know lots about the show already.
