Absolutely what I've been searching for! I'm 19, older than what it says on the description, but it breaks down everything and makes studying the bible so much easier! I am truly in awe with it! I highly recommend!
This bible is perfect for any girl or even adult looking for an easy to understand bible. I love how it breaks down what each book is about and has small easy to relate to devotionals throughout. The highlighted versus help emphasize key versus for my daughter. She loves the design as well. Pretty turquoise color with the artistic scrolling is perfect for her age. Very happy with it and I know she will continue to use it through adulthood.
Go go Zondervan! The bible simplified for teenagers. Easy to understand, along with having a table showing all the issues teens face, and how to overcome them through God's word.
I purchased this Study Bible to go along with a new devotional book for my 14 year old daughter. She loves this Bible! She does have other Bibles, but has recently had more questions and seems to be seeking a deeper understanding of Christ. I thought a new Study Bible to go along with the devotional (see my other reviews for that book - highly recommend it) she requested would be extra helpful. This Bible is hardcover but really nice. I generally don't care for hardcover Bibles, but in this case whatever worked for my daughter was just fine with me. She thought it was very "pretty". There are highlighted scriptures here and there throughout. There are also pages to explain certain situations or people in the Bible. The moment this arrived she opened it and one of those sections caught her eye. She started reading immediately and didn't stop for about an hour. SHE DOESN'T LOVE READING BOOKS. So this was HUGE. It caught her attention and held her attention that fast. She has been faithfully reading this Bible daily along with the devotional. She absolutely loves this Bible (and the devotional for teen girls). My 17 year old daughter has picked it up and loved it as well. I just purchased this Bible again for my older daughter so they have the same Bible and can follow along together. The only thing I wish this Bible had is that Christ's words were in red print. They are not. So there have been a few times I've had to point out "Jesus said this" etc. However, I will not take away a star for that. My daughters' other Bibles do have Christ's words in red if they want to cross reference and I always make myself available for answering questions or reading passages with her and explaining as I go. I highly recommend this Bible.
I got this Bible for the 6th grade girls I work with in our middle school ministry at church, and I've had a lot of the girls come up to me to tell me how much they love it! I think it's a Bible they can grow into over time. Parents have also commented on how much they like it, and that they've seen their daughters reading it more. It's of course the same scripture, but has blurbs that help the girls relate more to the verses, and is marketed girly enough to make it seem 'cool' to read. Very happy with this Bible, will definitely be buying more for my 5th grade girls next year!
Bought for a gift and hoping the modern day stories inserted here and there provided relatable tones for my 13 year old. The inserts help explain the context that was written in the surrounding bible pages and it helpsteens understand the scripture passage. Normally, I have to initiate her to pick it up but she refers to it more often on her own because it’s written for her age group. Happy!
I bought this for my tween along with a KJV. It is easy to read and pretty to look at. I think she will enjoy this for years to come. I'm really impressed with the areas of reflection that delve deeper into a verse and make you think of how it can apply to your own life. Outstanding.
I bought this for my 11 year old daughter's birthday. She is between the little girl and teenage years and this is just perfect for her. Easy for her to understand and just enough maturity to make her want to dig into God's Word! Perfect!! She LOVES this bible!
