First things first, these are your standard sized postcards, so they don't require any extra postage. The card stock that they're printed on is thicker than most postcards you'd find in stores, so it'll hold up better in the mail. The covers on all of the cards are bright, vibrant, and crisp, unlike the photos in the Star Wars Frames: 100 Postcards set.The cons of the set are short, but worth mentioning. First off, the set is almost 10 years old, it came out in 2009 and hasn't been updated. Secondly, the box that it comes in has a solid spine and covers, but the retaining "walls" are just folded card stock that came crushed upon arrival
I myself am not a giant fan of Star Wars but I participate in postcrossing and wanted to add some of these to my collection as people request Star Wars related postcards from time to time. However, I do think these cards are very high quality and sturdy enough to make overseas journeys without being badly damaged; that's a huge plus when you send overseas cards a lot! I would definitely recommend these to people who are fans of Star Wars and/or enjoy having nice, high-quality postcards on hand.
Great assortment, great quality. Each card has a small note on the back indicating the name and publication date of the comic along with the cover artist. Printing goes all the way to the edge, no unnecessary borders on the cards. One thing that is notable is that the older comics had barcodes that were on the front cover of each comic, for the post cards they were covered with white or black boxes. The same comics often had a top banner that read "Marvel Comics Group" and these were removed from the postcards as well. While the barcodes being covered is noticeable, the top banner not being there likely won't be noticeable unless you have an original to compare it to. I don't think either of these things detract from an otherwise great set of postcards.
I purchased these for my son who has collected Star Wars "stuff" for many years. He loved them. They came in a very nice box (he wants the box now) To store them in. They are very heavy cards stock which helps going through our mailing postage machines. I also use them for Postcrossing if someone likes Star Wars. Would recommend them to anyone ,especially if you, love Star Wars. Besides where can you buymost postcards for .15 cents each. Wish there was another set they would put out without the comic book covers on them.
What great fun. These are post cards and we send the kids weekly notes. At first they they told us to use email or messaging but after they got a few now they look forward to getting them.
I could not be happier! Everything from the old school comics to the current ones. Vivid colors, high quality, and thick/strong paper. The box is also really cool.
These postcards are all the covers of Star Wars comics. These are both Dark Horse and Marvel comics. In you are really into Star Wards this is a cheap way to get a hundred pictures of your favorite characters. It seems like a majority of the postcards have Luke, Leia and Hans on them. There are a few postcards from the more recent three movies.If you like Star Wars and postcards then buy this set. A hundred postcards for $13.83 is a good value.
Excellent print quality of all cards.I really enjoyed the selection of art selected. There seems to be a lot of the old Marvel covers but they look glorious as well.
